Compensation: $30.00- $32.00 an hour depending on license/ qualification
Join Our Team! We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our fleet maintenance operations for our Paramus, NJ location. This role is responsible for overseeing the daily maintenance and repair of our commercial bus fleet, ensuring vehicles are safe, reliable, and compliant with all company and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong mechanical knowledge, excellent leadership skills, and a commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.Essential Functions
- Supervise and coordinate daily work for shop overnight technicians as well as being hands-on
- Assign work orders and prioritize repairs, maintenance, and equipment preparation that aligns with the maintenance manager’s needs i.e. morning roll out
- Ensure all work is completed according to company procedures, safety standards, and manufacturer specifications
- Inspect completed repairs to verify quality and accuracy
- Diagnoses and troubleshoot mechanical issues related to vehicles and equipment
- Maintain an organized, clean, and safe shop environment
- Monitor tools, equipment, and parts inventory and coordinate ordering when needed
- Train, mentor, and support technicians to maintain high technical standards
- Work closely with operations department to ensure shop productivity and efficiency
- Maintain service documentation, repair records, and maintenance logs
- Handle emergency repairs and prioritize urgent service needs
- Must have CDL with appropriate endorsements or willing to obtain within 6 months
- Must have own tools and toolbox
- Able to perform PMI and corresponding defects

Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supervising maintenance operations for commercial buses, motorcoaches, or heavy-duty vehicles.
- Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and applicable federal and state regulations.
- Experience with fleet maintenance software and preventive maintenance programs.
